![]() The Brill Company constructed many different types of cars for many different customers. Large differences in construction are obvious in cars such as subway car 1009, built in 1936 and city car 163 built in 1924. |
NJT PCC #6 on the City Subway Line On February 24, 2000, we see NJT #6 near the end of its revenue service life in Newark. Note the pantograph, affixed to pull power from the overhead catenary, installed in anticipation of the new LRV's to begin service on August 27, 2001.
